How to get to KMUTT

By Car

From Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK Airport)

From the BKK parking building complex, head west on Suvannabhumni II road, make a u-turn and take a ramp toward Bangkok/Chon Buri. Follow a sign for Motorway route no.7. Merge onto route no.7 and continue driving straight along the motorway. Follow signs for Bang Pa-in/Rama IX. Then, you will merge onto Srirat Expressway. Continue on the road and keep following signs for Dao Kanong. Right after crossing the King Rama IX bridge, take exit 1-04 toward Suksawat Road. Slight left onto Route 303 (Suksawat Road). After the exit, use the right two lanes and make the first u-turn. Turn left onto Pracha Uthit Road. Continue on Pracha Uthit Road for 5 kilometers. KMUTT will be on your right.  Approximate travel time is about 40-45 min.

 

From Don Muang Airport (DMK Airport)

Head south on Vibhavadi Road towards Din Daeng. Merge onto Route 31. Take the exit toward Din Daeng/Rama IX Tollway. Then, you will merge onto the Utra-pimook. Keep following signs for Dao Khanong. Right after crossing the King Rama IX bridge, take exit 1-04 toward Suksawat Road. Slight left onto Route 303 (Suksawat Road). After the exit, use the right two lanes and make the first u-turn. Turn left onto Pracha Uthit Road. Continue on Pracha Uthit Road for 5 kilometers. KMUTT will be on your right. Depending on traffic, travel time can range from 40 to 90 min.

 

From downtown Bangkok

From the Victory Monument, head southeast towards Ratchawithi Road. Exit the roundabout onto Route 1. Turn left toward Sirat Expressway. Follow signs for Dao Khanong. Take exit 1-04 toward Suksawat Road. Slight left onto Route 303 (Suksawat Road). Right after crossing the King Rama IX bridge, take the exit 1-04. After the exit, use the right two lanes and make the first u-turn. Turn left onto Pracha Uthit Road. Continue on Pracha Uthit Road for 5 kilometers. KMUTT will be on your right. Depending on traffic, travel time can range from 20 min to 1 hour.

 

By Taxi

Metered taxis are readily available throughout Bangkok. Tell driver to take you ‘Prajom Klao Thonburi  or Techno Bangmod’ or show the following address: 126 Pracha Uthit Rd, Khwaeng Bang Mot, Khet Thung Khru, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10140, Thailand.

The approximate cost will be around 350-450 THB from BKK airport, 320-400 THB from DMK airport, and 130-160 from Downtown.

By Bus

You can take the bus no. 138, 140 or 142 from Bangkok downtown. These buses take the Sirat Expressway both inbound and outbound. You will get off at the Sarod Temple (Wad Sarod). Then, take the bus no. 21 or 75 (air-conditioned) to KMUTT. The journey can take up to one and half hour.

 

By Skytrain (BTS Skytrain) and bus

Take the BTS skytrain to Wong-wien Yai station. Take at Exit 4. Continue walking along the station and turn left onto Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Road. Take bus no. 21 or 75 (air-conditioned) to KMUTT.

 

Parking

The lecturers and selected attendees who are arriving with their own cars and wish to park near the SEA COAST venue, should notify the local organizers (Leela Ruckthong, email address: leela.ruc@mail.kmutt.ac.th) at least 2 weeks before the beginning of the workshop to arrange a parking permit. Alternatively, there are plenty of parking space in the 14-Floor parking building with a reasonable price. This building is in 5 minutes of walk from the venue (or, 350 meters from the venue).

Free parking lots are also available throughout the campus but they are first come, first serve and usually fill up pretty quickly in the morning.
